Private Lessons
At Sites' we specialize in teaching youngsters age 3 - 18 in a one on one instructional setting. We also have instructors that specialize in teaching adults. Our oldest student is currently in his 90's. Any one can learn to play an instrument.
 
 

 
Lesson Costs: $70.00 - 100.00 per month
Leson Times: 30 minutes each week scheduled for the same Time/Day weekly
*all lessons are taken on a month to month basis
Yearly: Registration and Planner fees $25.00 - includes all recitals, concert and social events and a planner to keep your student progressing through their musical studies.

Two for: We also offer the "two for" lesson. This lesson option is designed for students of the same level and similar age. The lesson price is full price for the first student and 1/2 price for the second. The two students recieve 30 minutes of instruction per week at the same time from the same teacher. Many siblings, friends and adults enjoy taking lessons in this very small group format.
 
 
Teaching times/days: The studios are open from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday through Friday for private instruction. Most teachers are avaliable from 2:00 - 7:00 PM. To schedule lessons call (208) 522-9005 or stop by the shop at 1120 S. Boulevard in Idaho Falls.

Getting Started - what you need (all avaliable to purchase or rent at Sites)
 
Violin, viola, cello
  • Student Quailty Properly Sized Instrument
    Sites has violin, violas and cellos to rent or purchase at affordable prices.
  • Violin or Viola - shoulder rest - a Sites' instructor or associate will help you pick the best rest for your body type
  • Books - beginners need Suzuki violin 1, Artistry in strings and American Fiddle.
     We also teach traditional violin but all students begin with these books.
  • Music Stand - folding or traditional
  • Planner / Registration

Guitar, Piano

  • Sites has quailty guitars that are very affordable in sizes that fit students aged 5 and up.
  • Piano - students are encouraged to purchase a piano (new or used) or a full lenght keyboard. Many can be found for sale on coark board in the hall or in the local Thrifty nickle. Talk with Joe in the shop if you need help locating an instrument.
  • Books - Piano - alfred book 1 in the series your instructor reccomends. Guitar- Alfred book 1 complete for kids or adult book 1.
  • Accessories - Guitar - strap, tuner, pics.
